Lapping and Grinding

Flat Lapping: Helium light band tolerances of one light band (11.6 millionths) or better are routinely achieved on various materials, including solid carbide and chrome plate on seal faces up to 16 inches in diameter.

Grinding: Fourteen pieces of grinding equipment including surface grinders, roto-grinders, I.D. grinders, O.D. grinders and chamfer grinders, give O-A the ability to grind flat pieces up to 16" x 32", outside diameters to 12 inches and internal grinding down to .187 diameter.
